Hi!  I’m Shane and you have made it to my spot in cyber space. I have two loves in my life - first and foremost my family. The second is the United States Navy.  Amiee, Zachary, and Austin bring so much joy to my life. They are the reason that I am who I am. We have such a closeness that makes Team-Martin exactly what and who we are. We do almost everything together from housework to yard work and all things in between. As you can tell, I think I have a great wife. Amiee has been my best friend since the day we met and that will never change. With the arrival of Zachary in late October of 2001 our family was made whole. Many of those who know us, know about the battle that Zachary is fighting. While serving my country in the US Navy, I've met and served with some real heroes and tough old Salts, but none compare to my son. If they gave a medal for the kind of strength, determination, and honor that he has battled cancer with, I’m sure it would be a million times greater than the Congressional Medal of Honor. People always talk about their kids looking up to them and that we should set a good example for them to follow.  Zachary David Martin is my HERO. He has shown me how to deal with what life gives us, and how to go on to be a better person, and live each day as if it were your last.
